Comprehensive Terms, Conditions & Waiver

These Terms, Conditions, and Waiver (the “Agreement”) govern participation in all events hosted by SoCal Sparks Events.By purchasing a ticket, signing a waiver, or attending any event, you (“Attendee,” “participant,” or “you”) agree to the following:

1. Eligibility, Age & Entry

Events are open only to individuals who are 21 years of age or older.
Attendees must present a valid, government-issued photo ID at check-in. Failure to provide proper identification will result in denied entry without refund.
Tickets may not be used by anyone other than the original purchaser unless properly transferred in accordance with Organizer’s policies.
2. Code of Conduct

Attendees agree to maintain respectful behavior toward other attendees, staff, volunteers, and venue personnel.
Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to:
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, or unwanted advances (verbal or physical).
Hate speech, discriminatory comments, or offensive conduct related to gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior that negatively impacts the experience of others.
Violations may result in immediate removal from the event without refund and potential banning from future events.
3. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Attendee understands and accepts that social events involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Interactions with unfamiliar individuals.
Possible accidents (slips, falls, injuries).
Exposure to communicable illnesses.
Travel to and from the venue.
By participating, Attendee voluntarily assumes all such risks.
Attendee releases and holds harmless SoCal Sparks Events, its owners, staff, contractors, affiliates, volunteers, and venue partners from any claims, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from participation, exceptwhere caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct of the Organizer.
4. Health & Safety

Attendees are prohibited from attending if they feel unwell, are experiencing symptoms of illness, or pose a risk to others’ health.
Attendees acknowledge the risk of exposure to communicable diseases (including COVID-19, influenza, or other viral/bacterial illnesses) and accept full responsibility for such risk.
Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any individual who appears visibly ill.
5. Ticketing, Refunds, Transfers & No-Shows

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Tickets may be transferred once only, up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event, subject to Organizer approval.
Attendees who arrive more than ten (10) minutes late may lose their seat and will not be entitled to a refund or credit.
“No-shows” automatically forfeit their ticket and may be restricted from future events.
6. Event Modifications & Force Majeure

Organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel any event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Venue availability or restrictions.
Safety concerns, weather, or natural disasters.
Government regulations or public health emergencies.
In such cases:
Tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.
If rescheduling is not possible, Organizer may issue credit toward a future event.
No refunds will be given.
7. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Organizer does not guarantee:
A specific number of attendees or gender/age ratios.
That any Attendee will receive matches, contact information, or future dates.
Participation is for social and entertainment purposes only.
8. Photography, Media & Marketing

Events may be photographed, recorded, or filmed for promotional purposes.
By attending, Attendee grants Organizer permission to use their likeness, image, and voice in marketing materials, social media, and other promotional platforms.
Attendees who do not wish to appear in photos/videos must:
Request a no-photo wristband at check-in.
Avoid designated photography areas.
9. Privacy & Data Protection

Organizer values Attendee privacy.
Only first names are shared during event activities.
Contact information is exchanged only between Attendees who mutually select each other as a match.
Organizer will not sell or disclose personal data to third parties except as necessary for event operations.
Marketing communications (email, SMS) will only be sent to Attendees who opt in separately.
10. Venue Rules & Alcohol Policy

Attendees must comply with all venue policies, including but not limited to:
Alcohol service and consumption limits.
Smoking and vaping restrictions.
Dress code requirements.
Security checks and property rules.
Alcohol Disclaimer:
Attendees are solely responsible for their alcohol consumption and behavior.
Organizer is not liable for alcohol-related incidents, injuries, or misconduct.
Venue staff may enforce additional rules not listed here.
11. Personal Property

Organizer and venues are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
Attendees are encouraged to keep valuables secured at all times.
12. Indemnification

Attendee agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoCal Sparks Events, its owners, staff, contractors, affiliates, and venue partners from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from:
Attendee’s conduct at or in connection with the event,
Violation of this Agreement, or
Any claim by a third party caused by Attendee’s actions.
13. Third-Party Vendors & Services

Events may involve third-party vendors (e.g., venues, bartenders, ticketing platforms).
Organizer is not responsible for the actions, omissions, or policies of any third-party service providers.
14. Accessibility

Organizer strives to host events in accessible venues.
Attendees requiring accommodations (e.g., mobility support, seating arrangements, ASL interpreters) should email Organizer at least 7 days prior to the event.
Organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests unless doing so would fundamentally alter the event or cause undue burden.
15. Governing Law, Severability & Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
If any portion of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Any dispute arising under or related to participation in an event will be resolved exclusively in small claims court located in Los Angeles County, California.
Class actions, collective claims, or arbitration are not permitted.
16. Acknowledgment & Acceptance

By purchasing a ticket, signing a waiver, or attending an event, Attendee acknowledges that they have:

Read and understood this Agreement in full.
Voluntarily accepted all risks associated with participation.
Agreed to abide by all rules, policies, and instructions issued by Organizer or venue staff.
